Forum Drones (UAS): Own flight operations with drones for authorities – Detection and defence against foreign and hostile UAS
Tool and means of action at the same time
Drones / UAVs / UAS are one of the big topics these days. Unmanned, remote-controlled or programmed aircraft are now both a threat and a useful tool for security authorities (BOS). Drone technology has developed versatile aircraft in a breathtakingly short time and has a large number of potential users, including in the BOS area. Without a drone traffic system (UTM) networked with the manned aviation traffic system, commercial or official flight operations cannot develop to the fullest extent of their potential. The forum provides a current overview of flight management systems for drone flights beyond the visual range of a remote pilot (BVLOS), as well as drone detection and effective drone defence.
Moderation: Director of the Federal Police (ret.) Heinz-Dieter Meier, amotys consult GmbH,
Active drone pilot
Former German Federal Police helicopter pilot
Former Head of Department 5, Center for Information and Communication Technology, Federal Police Headquarters, and CIO of the Federal Police
Former consultant for Geospatial Intelligence and Security Research at the DLR German Aerospace Center
